Experience Details:
Immerse your team in a full day of wildlife care and conservation at the Phillip Island Wildlife Hospital & Sanctuary, where you’ll work alongside experts dedicated to protecting Australia’s endangered species. The day begins with a visit to the Koala Conservation Centre, where you’ll have the opportunity to observe these iconic creatures in their natural habitat. Following this, the group will continue with hands-on activities, including direct animal care, habitat restoration, and participation in species management initiatives aimed at supporting the recovery of vulnerable wildlife.
After a provided lunch, the afternoon continues with additional conservation tasks, allowing your team to make a meaningful impact on the sanctuary’s vital work. The day concludes with an educational tour of the sanctuary, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the ongoing efforts to rehabilitate and protect endangered species.
At the end of the day, include a visit to the world-famous Phillip Island Penguin Parade, offering a chance to witness the nightly parade of adorable little penguins returning to their burrows. This experience provides a well-rounded day of conservation-focused activities, making it the perfect middle component of your itinerary.
PINP Conservation Team CSR & Team-Building Experiences:
The Phillip Island Nature Parks (PINP) Conservation Team offers a range of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and team-building experiences for small groups. Here’s a summary of what we provide:
Summerlands Research
- Collect scientific data on local flora and fauna
- Repair tree guards damaged by wildlife (penguins and wallabies)
Planting & Weeding
- Conduct weeding and tree planting at designated areas on the peninsula
Koala Conservation
- Weed and clear koala habitats
- Prune and cut foliage for koalas to consume
Each experience costs approximately $160.00 per person, plus a discretionary donation to the Penguin Foundation.
All activities require a minimum of 10 participants and can accommodate up to 20 people. The duration for each experience is about 3 to 4 hours.
Additional options include:
- Penguin Parade tickets
- Boxed lunch packs delivered to the activity site
